The Navien NFC-H Series 175K BTU condensing combi-boiler pairs hydronic space heating with on-demand domestic hot water at 5.4 GPM and a 15:1 DHW turndown ratio. The fire tube heat exchanger and 4.5 gallon water volume smooth out temperature swings in radiant floor and baseboard systems, and the burner modulates deep enough to keep the unit running steadily on mild days rather than short-cycling. At 95% AFUE with direct-vent sealed combustion, it vents through a sidewall in PVC, CPVC or polypropylene and needs no chimney. The boiler runs on natural gas or propane, mounts on the wall in a 33-1/2 in. tall by 17-3/10 in. deep cabinet, and is ENERGY STAR qualified and suitable for residential and light commercial work. Installation must be performed by a licensed gas heating contractor.
